Woke up at 12 today and had buffet lunch w family at Vienna. The food was average, really. I hated buffets ever since returning from my japan trip last Dec. The tour package arranged buffets for almost every meal in japan. Luckily they had curry rice for the buffets. I can have that everyday.

When you eat that much buffets, you stop getting greedy anymore and know the exact portion to keep you full. Thats what I did today. A tiny little bit of everything, just right to feel 80% full. Hara hachi bu!

I had the most complete breakfast since forever. This is a two person American Breakfast set at Cafe Cartel. Shared this with gera! This is like having 5 days of different kinds of breakfasts on the same plate.

Sam's one person share. Mostly the same things here and there. They have free flow bread, tea and coffee but we were full already.

Army stories were surprisingly interesting. I think it depends on who tells them. hahahha I wanna date an SOF :)

I am home! I met up with alot of my secondary sch guy friends in the noon today for kenrick's birthday! yeah he's looking more and more awesome as he spends more time in the army. How i wish girls can magically look tanned and slim and beautiful without any army treatment and money, like some fairy godmother pops by and voila~

Anyway its nice meeting them up for a chat like this. We talked about properties, girls, army, more army, bungee jumping, traveling, migrating, durian ice-cream and that sleeping with your bra on increases chances of breast cancer!!! How come GUYS know these things when we dont!?!? I've been sleeping with my bra on since puberty!! Do you girls sleep with your bra on?

I met a cat on my walk home, I've never seen a cat feeling so attached to me!! Most of them hate me, I have no idea why, but this particular black cat with tiny brown and white patches clung to me like its last companion on earth, meowing so loudly and almost following me home.

It was a monday, when many are busy working hard to feed families, facing monday blues and whatever, we went to the beach.

Yup, with bikinis, juice and snacks and a mat we got from daiso to tan our asses off. Its almost like roasting 3 stuffed pigs. You massage them with marinate (lotion), stuff some fillings (food) and voila! Something smells delicious!

The sun wasn't that strong though, but its an uncrowded monday with only china and angmoh tourists, which is the best to wear bikini if you've got a flabby stomach and you don't really want to bump into a friend anywhere!

We swam the salty waters with tiny fishes lurking around trying to find some food, its electrifying when an idiot fish comes by and bites your tiny toe thinking its food.

The beautiful sunset perfected our little trip. There were also lone working people watching the sunset after their long hard hours. I bet all the shit they get from their work is worth it for the scenery they see before they return home.

Getting back to learning dreamweaver and flash, since dreamweaver totally bored me to tears i tried flash and its surprisingly easier, shorter and more interesting!

totally rejected the $300 publication job, so much work for $300? It'll make me whine and complain! Even if im broke, my design work doesn't deserve such peanuts so fuck you!

Personal goal now is to master dreamweaver and flash, and make my dream website. *eyes sparkling with excitement* :D Whatever lah, no money, the rest can come later when im done with my web.

Who said having a dream is necessary to live?
Why is it that when somebody asked me what is my dream, I tell them I want to be a recognised illustrator instead of earning enough to travel the world, enjoy life and giving people what i am blessed with?

Being an illustrator is only part of my dream to enjoy life and not work for the sake of working.

Is it bad to be easily contented? I am not regretting anything anyway. I only want to experience everything outside the concrete jungle.

Why does it seem that only dreams like "opening my own company or like being a successful businessman" are qualified as dreams?

So are dreams like "Having my own family, growing a vegetable garden in my house, saving marine animals, be a vegetarian" not ambitious enough?

practising my eyeliner skills these days when i go out, oh my it keeps smudging! :( Met up with a freelance client today and ended up being in his branding company. So the plan is that i'll have to work 3 evenings (3 hrs) and 1 weekend with him and my pay will be commission based. It is still very unclear, so i'll have to work out the details soon. Sounds exciting and fun but scary.

So rather than having an office job, I'll be at home most of the day, and on evenings, mon, tue and thur, i will be meeting him, as well as a weekend. 12 hours a week. I wonder if it'll work out. :/

Anyway, feels awesome to have somebody appreciate my portfolio again.

Shopping at times square was fab today!
I found a huge nature republic shop and went mad!
The girl just looked at my skin and brought me around the whole place,
so fell into her retail trap and got persuaded to buy a tub of pinetree mask without even deciding for a minute!

I went for a manicure too! Heheh!! Now I have pretty turquoise nails, such a yummy colour can never bore me!

I am probably really sick of Singapore that I started appreciating anything foreign like the cute running green man on the traffic lights, the lively street views, inperfect street pavements,happening night streets and the mad jam of cars! I live it.

After than eekeng suggested going DBL 0 because she thinks its open before the official opening, so we just WENT AND YES IT WAS OPEN! love love love the graffiti outside, we went in, and oh so shiok the wonderful aircon and it was so big compared to the previous venue! GOOD WORK DBL 0! Had 2 tequila shots and went off to play pool. :)

Currently, even though i'm freelancing, I'm still afraid of losing my client, I have no plans on what to do except maybe do self-promotion later on and try to get more freelance clients.

Its like a constant fear. I always visit jobsdb to try look for some shiny headline which says Children Illustrator needed urgently. like that will ever happen.

I don't know how long I can do this. I'm just taking what comes, one step at a time, the future looks really dark and scary. I have a long way to go, and I'm always looking at local illustrators and what they're doing and getting stressed up about things I cant draw, work I don't have....

you close your eyes, concentrate on every breath, make sure its calm and slow

seriously try to think of nothing (obviously impossible because by then i'll be asleep)

then think of every inhale as something new, refreshing, happy and good.

then when you exhale, just believe that every unhappiness, insecurity and all the crap comes out.

I am wasting the 3 years of hell I had to get my diploma and my portfolio done.

Alright latest news about my life.

I'm starting work at The Patissier tomorrow.I'm sorry kaili i hid it from you. I'll pull you in if they still need people.I'll explain if you don't see this.

Actually, tomorrow is a trial run, they wanna see if i'll be comfortable working there and also test me out to see if they really wanna hire me. (bastards) Its considered a full time job with a lousy pay, so unless you have the passion, you'll be okay with it...I guess

Sometimes its the interview that gives you the mood to work there. I had the worst interview I've ever had while I was there...oh gawd I dont like her ~.~ Its a job to eat up my time and money so my mother will stop nagging me whenever I get money from her :/ And I need to get out of my house too, I'm starting to feel claustrophobic, being ridiculously depressed when I shouldn't be.

While working there I'll be finding a design related job. A lover for my portfolio! For now I want to be prepared for the worst tomorrow. Its always safer to expect anything! Good luck to me. Its that stupid interview that's making me feel like this -.-

I haven't stepped foot on malaysian for so long! Its been around 1-2 years!

All of us went to a place famous for its foot reflexology! Dad + Uncle and me had foot massage while my mum and aunt + mum's friend went for full body massage. My previous body massage experience in Indo gave me even more aches so I didn't go for it this time round. I think its only for old people la, you have to treat aches with more aches, not for a person with no aches like me. :D (and i dont like them touching my fats)

It wasn't that painful as they show on tv! Don't you always see people screaming in foot reflexology shops? Some parts were painful though, but the guy explained that those parts of my leg hurt because its related to my whichever organ. So basically found out hows my health condition la..

We had a really yummy dinner with herbal wrapped chicken and fish head curry! Cold weather + foot reflexology + irregular shitting makes you eat like a pregnant woman!

Then some small ulu shopping place. woohoo i bought maybelline's concealer for only 10 bucks! Happy~

On tuesday, i went to art friend, fancy paper, printing shop, school, spotlight, daiso and school again. That is like the most number of places I've ever chiong-ed to in all my 3 years. Feels like a mini amazing race around Singapore with the Unit10 booth being my pit-stop.

Although it feels a little disappointing that we didnt get as many people as the first day, I feel great that I did it.
